Here's a transcription & how-to guide for playing Fahey's, When You Wore a Tulip.
It's based on his 1965 album, Dance of Death & Other Plantation Favorites... in the key of C, standard tuning.
Hope everyone is doing well! Just posted a video lesson & tabs write-up on John Fahey's version of the Blind Blake classic, West Coast Blues.
It's played in the key of C, with Fahey adding an extra bridge which isn't in Blake's original version. For the tabs/MIDI playback looper, u can go here.
Here's a rough transcription of Reverend Gary Davis' guitar playing on Cincinatti Flow Rag, based on one of the Live In Seattle versions
To continue the Fahey streak, here is the pensive Joe Kirby Blues. It's in Amin, and is a nice one to play; although some passages get tricky, it's just a matter of getting the reptitions in to retrain the muscle memory, getting it used to the weirder pathways Fahey trodded down. The video and tablature are here.
