Special Rider Blues (Test)

Overview

Here's a recording which was fortunately captured by Lomax, presumably to test the functionality of the equipment prior to playing the "actual" Special Rider Blues.

The song itself features Son House's classic Spanish tuning licks, heavy bends on the guitar's mid-register strings, full barres for the IV and V chords (alongside slight bends on the treble side), and catchy bottleneck riffs on the I chord.

Song Lyrics

Mmmm fix my clothes on honey because you have done me wrong

Mmmm I ain’t gonna be your lowdown dog no more
When I leave this town I’m gonna hang crape on your door
You can just fix my clothes, oh honey let me go back home
Mmmm fix my clothes baby because you have done me wrong
Mmmm fix my clothes baby because you have done me wrong
