Reading The "D" String

You're more than halfway through this section - I hope you've gotten something from it so far. Now you're onto the D string, which is the 4th string on your guitar.
The D String Note Names
The notes you'll learn for now will be the D note, the E note and the F note, using the 0th, 2nd, and 3rd fret respectively.
The Suggested Fingering
The first note, the D, is played open,
Next, the E note is fretted with your middle finger on the 2nd fret,
Finally, the F note is fretted with your 3rd finger on the 3rd fret.
